Clinical approach

  • CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, EFT

  • Works primarily with adults and parents

  • Additional interest in working with allied health and mental health professionals (along with the general population).

  • Client-centred with a strengths-based approach

  • Focus on evidence-based treatments that look at both underlying maintaining factors and practical coping strategies 

 

Experience:

  • Experience working with a variety of disorders and mental health difficulties including anxiety, stress, depression, grief & loss, procrastination, perfectionism, self-esteem, adjustment, schizophrenia, substance-related issues and parenting.

  • Additional experience assessing for development of mild cognitive impairment and dementia in a hospital setting.

  • Delivery of evidence-based treatments and therapeutic groups in acute inpatient, youth mental health, and university clinics.

  • Masters dissertation exploring couple-based support during chronic pain.

  • Published journal articles exploring memory and collaborative recall in older adults and couples.
